Dr. Mario M. Ramirez,
Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Mario M. Ramirez has 25 years of orthopedic surgery experience. He graduated from FEU-FERN with a degree in Medicine. He also topped his class in UP-PGH in the field of Occupational Medicine and subsequently specialized in Orthopedic Surgery at the Philippine Orthopedic Center from 1991 to 1995.

Dr. Ramirez served his countrymen in his six-year stint as a government physician, helping to heal and improve the lives of Filipinos in the country. With his vast experience, he has successfully established himself as a recognized expert in his field. For this, he has been invited numerous times to countries such as the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Singapore to give lectures in various medical conventions.

At present, Dr. Ramirez is affiliated with the Philippines top hospitals such as De los Santos Medical Center, The Medical City, Philippine Orthopedic Center, and the Philippine Arthroscopy Institute. He is also the President and CEO of Outsourcing and Manufacturing Services Inc. (OMSI), the manufacturer of Quaker Oats, and contributes regularly as a writer for the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Prof. Hercules Callanta

Prof. Hercules Callanta has decades of experience in the field of sports, fitness, and physical education. Besides being an Athletics and Physical Education consultant of the Lyceum of the Philippines, he is a faculty member of the University of the Philippines College of Human Kinetics, where he has held several administrative positions including College Dean, Director of
Professional Studies, Director of Research, Director of Varsity Sports, and Student Relations Officer. Likewise, he is a member of the CHED Technical Working Committee for the Bachelor of Physical Education courses and a consultant for Department of Education's school sports and physical fitness thrusts.

At present, Prof. Callanta is the president of Strength and Conditioning, Inc., a company that promotes proper strength training and physical conditioning, as well as health, wellness, and fitness programs. Likewise, he is a member of the advisory boards of Men's Health Magazine and The Philippine Center for Gifted Education. He is also a member of the Philippine Coalition for the Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases Steering Committee.

Amidst these responsibilities, he serves as a training coach for athletes and teams from different events and levels of participation. Since his younger days up to the present, Prof. Callanta is especially fond of badminton and weightlifting.
